Just curious what most of you consider a safe dry time for pvc cement before running our tank water through it? (pressure safe and toxic safe)

Matt

I usually to wait atleast 24 hours for mulitple glued joints and just a couple for one or two.
But I've been told you can run tank water though within minutes.
I saw it done at Indoor Reef.

Waiting more than 24 hours would be ridiculous. Unless you are a spaz-oid then, I am sure, you will end up waiting well past the "good enough" time (a few min as finn suggests).

If you are curing outside you may want to wait a whole 2 hours or so, otherwise 30min should do it.

I would suggest doing a freshwater run on it before you attach it to your system to check for leaks.

25 seconds.....

no J/k

20 min max... that stuff sets really really fast... if useing the purple and clear glue..

if you put your glue on both sides (suggested from a plumer)

then press and hold for about 15 seconds... its done....

did some pluming with a dude for a while... and there was never a set time...

it was glue one side, glue the other side. push hold, done.....

never had anything leak with that technic
