Rbta and T-5 lighting

Hey all, I was wanting to purchase a Rose bta but Im unsure of my lighting.
I have the Nova extreme 432 (8x54) on a 75 gallon tank that 4'long by 21" deep with a 2" sand bed. That technically makes it almost 6 watts(5.76) per gallon but I know thats not right with all the variables... anyway does anyone have one under this type lighting or should I be ok to get one.sorry for another rbta thread...

It depends on the spectrum of the lighting; however as long as you are not running overly blue (mostly actinic and 20ks) and around the 10k range I'm sure you will be fine. They will generally extend to the light and move around until they find a happy spot. Just watch for bleaching.

Im running what came with the fixture, 4 -10,000K Daylight lamps and 4- 460nm Actinic Blue lamps. I can actually take one actinic out if needed and replace with another 10000k lamp.

Your lighting should be ok the way it is. Remember to replace the bulbs at regular intervals.

Your tank has aquate lighting to support any animal found in the ocean. 8 well reflected 54watt T5 bulbs over a 75gal is hugely powerful lighting.

You said well reflected, The bad side to this light if you will, is it has one large reflector for ALL eight lights.Since putting this light on the tank everything in there is eigther budding, splitting or reproducing some way or another...I just wanted to be sure so I didnt get it and I didnt have enough for it.

i know this might not help, but i have the nova 36' (4x39) it smaller then what you have but my tank is smaller. I get good growth of everything, i got some sps's going and there going like mad.

I have talked to many people about this and the consensus is the bulbs can be changed every two years... believe it or not...

T5's require on average 6 months change rather than two years, regardless if the lamp will look bright, the two years comes from manufactures that use T5 used other than reefkeeping.

As others have said, you have more than enough light for a rose anemone.
