We are in the process of putting together another feature for Reef Frontiers. We putting together a whole series of interactive workshops for the members of Reef Frontiers. The topics will be broad in range from several DIY workshops walking you through the construction of several products to Coral Propagation to refugium set up, plumbing, Reef chemistry and so on. The workshops will be in thread form and open to all members at no cost. Their will be full step by step pictorials and open for questions through out.
We have enlisted a number of very skilled presenters. People like Anthony Calfo, Barry Neigut, Adelaide from essential Live foods, Jon Warner from Warner Marine and many more. So keep a heads up to watch from them in the future.
In the mean time please feel free to post on here and shoot me some suggestions on topics you would like to se a workshop done on??

Mike,

Having a larger tank now... I'd be interested in a workshop on DIY Calc-Reactors... with the how's and what-for's of how a Calc-Reactor works, what tubes go where and why... stuff like that.

I do agree about the acrylic stuff such as calium reactors or kalk reactors. Great Idea. Thanks in advance for the work.

This is going to be another great resource for us. The more suggestions the better!

I think a workshop on retrofitting lights would be good, and/or something on plumbing showing the different pieces you use and how to install (i.e. closed loop).

Mike I can't wait to see this happen, I know we all can gain from something of this structure.

yuuhhuuu !!! i can't wait
I really wanna try to build a skimmer on my own, i have read threads on how people build their skimmers but i think i would like more ideas and graphics too on how i suppose to put it all together and the size of the pieces etc.

good call on the acrylic work and the plumbing/closed loop work. Also a how-to on fragging corals (sps, lps and softies) would be nice.

Skimmer creation, kalk reactor, fragging work, acrylic glueing and cutting for box and round shapes. This is going to kick butt. Thanks. Steve

This sounds like it's going to be great...I'm sure I'll find something else I need to make for the tank...;).
How about a DIY stream style pump.
