The 2974 people that died on 9/11 must not be forgotten. However is saddens me that all the attention is put on them and very little on the 4155 soldiers that have died since then fighting for us...... due to the attacks.

I've been remembering today, too. It really hit home when my 6 1/2 year old asked why the flags were only half-way up today, and I did the best I could to tell her without making her afraid to ever fly in an airplane again. I still remember sitting there pregnant watching the second plane hit, and wondering what kind of world she would be born into.

Amazing it has been 7 years. I remember very clearly where I was. I was actually in Europe when it happened and it was a very distant feeling to be away from home when this happened. Thank you for starting this thread so that we all do not forget what happened then and what we have been fighting for (and loss of lives in that effort) ever since.

I think about this often because I have a friend who worked in the WTC, I have another friend in Iraq, and a young man I was once a guardian of is now in the military.

Last weekend I had to take a muscle relaxer and I fell asleep with the TV on. They had the 9/11 movie on and for some reason I thought I was there. I woke up with all of my covers kicked off my bed, I was sweating profusely, and I was terrified. If I can be that scared in a dream, imagine what those poor people experienced.
