Why won't my pics upload? I'm no computer n00b. Pics are withing maximum allowable size. I browse for the pic, click upload and the pic appears to upload then the window just stays blank and pictures are not listed on the post? I click submit and still no go. What gives......

in the lil popup window do you click the upload pic button then close the window?...i gotta go to work,,,ill catch up with this tonight if no one else comes to the rescue.

Dave

Nope, the window does not close. It goes blank and just stay idle.... I cleared out all cookies and still the same problem....

it can be tricky sometimes, more so when using dial-up, It takes forever for dial-up to upload a pick, usually because up-load band width is smaller the down-loading. Ok nuf that, now to the meat of the picture, you can do several things to reduce file size, one is actually pixels width & height, say average 17" screen a 1100 X 800 picture would fill it depending on your video resolution, also the actual pixel count can be reduced to lower the file size to below 100,000 bite limit. You will need some type of software to reduce the file size to the required max. allowed. Hope this helps!

Thats not the problem, I tried uploading from my dsl connection at home and now from a T1 here at work. I have cleared the cookies, I have resized the images, all still a no go? What the frick...

Would someone be willing to post 2 pictures under my for sale thread? Pretty please? LOL

Another interesting technical glitch on RF,

When I go to the main page at reeffrontiers.com and login with user name and password it doesn't log me in. I have to click on forums link and then login. Whats the point of having a login screen if it doesn't in fact log me in? LOL

Ok, maybe Wit canassist you, on & off had some of the log in problems, there was apost somewhere onwhat to do, i need to read it myself LOL!

Okay ... with login problems try this ...

Log off of RF ... make sure you are logged off ....

Run this link:

http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/mycookies.php

You will see cookies with little boxes next to them. Select each one and hit the delete button.

Close all browsers after this.

Reopen the browsers, come onto RF and try logging in, should work after this. At least the logging in part ...

What pictures are you trying to upload? I can help you out if you want. Email them to [email protected] and I will get them up for you.

logging on

yupp, logging on was indeed a problem. i couldnt log on since the change over. no matter what i tried it wouldnt let me stay logged on so i just used another board. some probably wish i would have stayed on that other board.

Yah .... cookie problems are a pain ... once we got fully propogated, there were fighting cookies happening and still could be if you don't clean out the cookies. once logged out, using that mycookies.php link should help the situation.

trying the attachment feature:
