My tank is now full of softies, everything has happily taken off. Zoo's, Xenia, Leathers and Shrooms. The problem is with my green shrooms. They are wilted up (normally full and bright green) and a pale color, i havent moved them or adjusted anything (including lights) there are two patches of green shrooms in differant locations and both are doing the same thing, and i have other colors of shrooms throughout the tank, and they are still full and happy, just my green ones???

Wierd Huh

i had some blue ones that did that..all the other ones were open, but they suddenly closed up....how close are those other corals????

My shrooms did that recently and the rest of my softies were just fine. A day later, I realized my skimmer had somehow become unplugged. I plugged it back in and a couple days later, the shrooms were happy as can be. Perhaps your skimmer needs cleaned or is somehow operating a lil' different and they're the first to take notice.

Ron, one patch is fighting with zoo's (BUT they have been doing that for weeks, the other patch is isolated on the other side of the tank.

And Sid, i thought that to, but you would think the shrooms would be the least picky, i did have a powerhead go out, but like i said, my blue and red shrooms are just fine, only the green ones...... Ill double the equipment thou, for sure

Thanks

Ive only seen pictures of chemical warfare, i wont say that this isnt the case, the shrooms from across the tank have no contact with other corals, and the ones with contacts with the zoo's are coming around again, and they have been neighbors for a while now. What i did found out was that my seio 2600 fall down (suction cups didnt hold) and the propellar was stuck in stop but the motor kept running and burned up the impellar, i dont know how they relate, but that is the only noticeable change in my tank (that im aware of)

How are your Phosphates? I had the same problem before, and it seemed the shrooms knew my phosphates were up before anything else ( and it was my green shrooms also). it doesn't take much.

I just had a phos problem, your the winner. That totatly slipped my mind. Phos is always the forgotten element (for me anyways)

I checked my phos and they were high, sounds like you solved the mystery. Now ill have to research phosphate, lol

My salifer test said above 1ppm and under 3ppm which is high on the chart. Wheres my link Nikki to understand what that means and what to do....
