Sand Bed Calculation

I used the Sand Bed Calculator to see how much sand I need for my 370 gallon tank. The results are the following:

You will need approximately 373 pounds of sand
to achieve a 2.5 inch depth in a 79.5 x 36 inch tank
assuming the sand weighs 90 pounds per cubic foot.

Question: If I am looking at a 20lb bag of sand, does this mean I need ~18 bags of sand????

yowch. Thats alot o sand.

Look into silica sand... It has pros(cheap) and cons (silicates)

But it CAN be successful.
