Schedule 80 vs schedule 40

considering that we don't run preasures above 10 psi and sch 40 is rated fir 150+ I have not worried about sch 40 of course 80 is better but also a lot more money now if we were talking Class 125 I would say oh no....

I agree.. sch 40 is way more than enough for our applications. Not only is sch80 more money, but also has thicker walls which means less flowthrough :D. Seriously, probably not that much thicker to where it would actually make a difference, but when sch 40 will do...
 
What about sound transmission? Of course spaflex is best for deadening vibrations, but I would think that sch80 would be louder than sch40 since the pipe is stiffer and would transmit the higher-frequency vibrations better. Just a guess. Any experience out there?
