Looking pretty good! You need to fire your clean-up crew though :)

So how are you doing with a smaller tank? I've never owned anything below a 55g but when I get home I'm going to buy a 30g cube or hexagon.

Hey folks, small update!

Did a monthly 70% WC, last week & modified the Outer Orbit by adding one of my Orion 4" A/C fans at the end of the light, hanging down so it blows air directly across the water surface, it comes on with the MH. I don't think I'll need a chiller as the highest temp. I saw was 79.8. with a room temp of 78, 250w mh right on top of it I think that is pretty darn good. This weekend I made new side panels for the stand, I'm basically going to stain it the same as the other tanks stand being I have so much left!:) I have the front oak panel cut but still need to cut the door out & stain & seal it. This time I really do plan on finishing off the stand with all of the trim. I have a 5g bucket for top off water on a timer circuit but haven't tweaked it out just yet, twice it went berserk so I need to test it externally first & maybe modify the program again.
So far, this tank has been easy to keep up, running stable & fairly clean. I have only three fish, one Bi-color blenny, small Perk, & that Pink fish I keep forgetting what it is but they are all small fish. I do plan on getting a few more corals, sps type, but the tank is basically loaded as full as I plan on keeping it as long as it stays this easy to maintain.

Are you working on trying to time the Mj pump?

Don

Yes but the timing keeps screwing with me, it would work right but I have to get the program right. I might just simplify it down to once a day for 15/20 seconds. Also the time of year is changing humidity which is so high down here compared to most of the US. 80 degrees here feels more like 100 anywhere else, this makes a huge swing during the winter months so I'm thinking I'll get both timers set one with less time than the other & just switch it out once a year.

Make sure the timer is named "0" and the first interval has the check box checked and the others do not.

Update time, Since last post, I did get the water timer set for two 15 seconds of water from a Ph. this rather that using a floater to determine how much water gets topped off daily. It is very consistent & hasn't has issues sine I got the program worked out. Today I did some re-scaping So I removed the rocks & cleaned the tank while I was at it. not having a skimmer sucks, I need to get one that really works well for small tanks. I also thinned out the SB because removing detritus was getting difficult in the tight spots. One of these days I'll get me more corals for the tank, the few i have are doing well but It needs more!
Ok, hers some Pics!
