i dont know if i should cry in excitment or cry in shame..my lfs juswt gave me a almost spankin new pro skimmer for my 37 gallon tall. it barely fits in my sump becaus e its so huge... can i over skimm and the foam wont get but about an inch tall...please inform.

You want to adjust the skimmer to produce bubbles at the bottom of your collection cup, then just turn it on and wait. It will take a little while for skimmate to start collecting and overflow into your collection cup.
