Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Cool ... a couple of people interested in the rock I have ... I will have it on hand and we can talk ...

Paul, sounds like you are all set to get rid of some of those frags. Judging by my tank right now, I may not want to bring home any frags yet ... but we will see how things look by the weekend. See you on Saturday. (hopefully with a couple of heaters in hand).

Paul - I may have that candycane you are looking for. It's a pretty good size piece. How many "heads" do you want? I've never fragged it before...how far down should I crack it?

Hi all. This will be my very first PSAS frag swap meeting. I'm still trying to look for a carpool from Edmonds area. If any of you are coming from up north (maybe Lynnwood, Everett area) and wouldnt' mind pickin' me up ;) i'd appreciate it. I've fragged couple things, not the most impressive, but gots a couple brown montipora digitatas, some green digitatas, and orange monti cap.

Here's some in my new 29 gallon prop tank.

I'll see if i can get any more things to the meeting. Probably free grape caulerpa.

I'm looking for Feather caulerpa and those cup lookin' caulerpa species, and chaetomorpha is you guys have any. I'm basically looking for any coral frag species, that I dont already have in my tank...such as Xenia.

FYI, he has great candycane corals, mine split a little after we traded.

Here's what I have to trade

Nothing has been fragged yet, so all pictures are of mother colonies

Colt - I have about six golf to tennis ball sized frags

Green button polyps - I have one frag availble. They are more green than the picture reflects
RS_green_buttons.jpg

Green Acro - I have a couple 1-2" frags

Xenia - 3 meduim frags

I also have a couple of dark green acro frags that I don't have a picture of. I can take a picture if anyone is interested.

I'm in search of colorful SPS.

Hi Gordo, you still have that frag you wanted to give to me a long time ago? I am very interested on your acro.... can I buy?

Thanks

Would anybody be interested in some green star coral? I'm also looking for some macro and stonies.
Thanks,
Ryan

Hey
I got to trade are crocea clams and yellow polyps.

Looking for all kinds of soft corals, any reef safe fish, and other clams.

Let me know.

Zack - any information on the clams? Size?

Also, are you interested in a cabbage leather frag (Lobophytum crasum)? It is pinkish and about 3" across when open, and a bit browner (and smaller) when closed. Let me know.

OK Paul. I'll frag you off a piece. 5 or 6 heads OK? (depending on the branching)

By the way - the hydnophora I got from you last year is doing quite well.

Well, here is my frag wish list. I have been raising a few (3) nano-reefs over the past year and half, but have just started to get into fraging corals (just some 'shrooms and zoos, but none of them look like they will be ready for the meeting). That said, I would be more then willing to buy a few small frags (remember I said nano's) if anyone would be willing to part with them.

Here's what I am looking for
Green Slimer (Is that a Green Montipora Digitata Piercho?)
Montipora capricornis or stellata (2"-2.5" pieces - I love these).
Mushrooms
Zoanthilia
Euphyllia glabrescens (Torch Coral) (Single head).
Euphyllia paranchora (Branching Hammer) (Single head).
Pom-pom Xenia
Colt Coral (Small piece)

Err, if you are wonding about my lighting situation, I have at a minimum of 6.4 wpg (horrible way to measure light but what the heck) and a max of 11.25 wpg. So far all my SPS, LPS, and misc softies thrive.

If you have any of the above (or anthing that you think is interesting for that matter), that you would be willing to frag, please send me a PM that includes the item name, color, size, and price.

Now that you are all suitably appalled by the length this message, I will let you get on your way.

P.S. I hope to see lots of people at Saturdays meeting!

Hi dnjan, Im am also interested on your candycane... can i buy cause i dont have anythng to trade.

thanks

Hi, I forgot to put this with my other previous post, but i'm also looking for aragonite sand if anyone has some?

Paul, do you still have some sand left? I could probably use 50 lbs of it.

Chuck, how much for that rock you're offering, if its not already taken.

Zack, what kind of rock doyou have for 2.50 per pound?

- Elmo

I took off two pretty-good-sized frags (7-8+ mouths each) this morning, and divided the rest of the colony into three pieces. I'll bring the two frags for sure (Paul H gets first choice), and could further frag one of the three remaining pieces if anybody else is interested.

For those curious as to why I separated the rest of the colony into three parts - my secondary purpose to fragging this colony was to remove a hitchiking alveopora. I didn't notice it when I bought the colony a few years ago, but the allie was doing well (attached to the "dead" base of the colony). With some dificulty (and by breaking the candycane into three pieces), I was able to remove the alveopora and have placed it near the pink and green alveoporas I already have (the allie hitchiker was fairly brown in its original hiding place in the candycane). Right now (about three hours later) a couple of the polyps are starting to come out.
