I just finished a quick fresh water test.... All I can say is WOW !!! WOW!! WOW!! With all the valves wide open they all have great flow. Picked up my Dual 250 DE's yesterday. Time to get the canopy built and get this baby filled with saltwater and corals!!

Sounds like fun!!! Glad you are all siked about it! Nothing better than seeing things come together. Should be a really nice setup to say the least:)

Excellent! Glad to hear the freshwater test went well!

Looks like the change over will happen this Sunday. Gettin some new saltwater made up as I type....I'll get some pics of the change over

Good luck Scott! I'm looking forward to seeing the change over:)

Change over went very well. I'm excited to see how the tank looks since the dust settled. FYI - I was against re-using the sand....but Scott rinsed it very well, and we saved the top 1/4 to reseed the bed. Skimmer went crazy for a little while, but seemed to calm down by the time I left.

The closed loop was great! The manifold worked really well, and didn't cause a sand storm at all. Hopefully with a little tweaking on the flow, and coral placement, it will be perfect.

As Nikki stated everything went very well with the change over. Nikki was a huge help with getting this done. I tried to get some pics of her working but that was forbidden...LMAO..Heres some pics of the tank. The tank is all clear this morning ready for me to mess it up again to get stuff in place..

Awesome, Scott - I can't believe how clear the water is. Are you going to tinker with the rocks? I know you couldn't see what you were doing when trying to piece it together yesterday. How does the livestock look?

I moved stuff around some. I may have to adjust later when I put the new lights on. The live stock looks great considering. Both anemones are doing well, one is wandering a little, so I'll have to keep an eye on him. The only bad thing I have seen so far is my water temp is at 82.5F where as before it was at a steady 80F.

That's looks really nice Scott. Looks like you've got some pretty good flow in there!

Thanks! The flow kicks butt. Gotta watch where you point the outputs tho, can you say sandstorm lol. All is pretty much settled now. We'll see how it turns out.

Thanks again Nikki

Hmmm....check to make sure the heater's dial didn't get knocked around. If that is fine, then turn off the closed loop pump to see if the temp drops.

I unplugged the CL pump for about 6 hours and the temp only dropped 1 degree. I dialed back the heater just a tad as well. Room temp is fairly warm, Im sure that has some to do with it..I'll keep an eye on things..

That's the main reason I went bb. Could never get the flow right because of it and I didn't even have much to talk of. Best of luck man with everything ironing out:)
