I disagree with you on the beckett statement moonpod... I think if you use a large enough air pump, you will produce far more air at a significant energy savings when compared to a beckett.
The airtech 40 pump uses around 40 W to produce 48lpm at 2 meters. Say you lose some of that pressure and airflow to the airstones and lose some PSI to the water height, which most likely will not exceed 2 feet in these bubble producing monsters, let's say you get that 48lpm with stones and with 2 feet of water over them. That's 2880 lph... pretty much hitting the highest end 2 properly driven becketts and two of the smaller red dragon pumps can achieve I believe and we're talking about Iwaki100rlt power here so it isn't cheap to achieve those numbers on the becketts.
