Posted in the equipment forum...but don't know if anyone saw it!

I am currently running an ASM G-3 on my 100 gallon tank...love the skimmer, hate the pump noise and the gurgling!

I am downsizing to a 60 gallon cube in the near future, and I am thinking of changing skimmers. Preferably to an in-sump one, but driven by a powerhead for less noise.

Does anyone have experience with the Aqua-C urchin? I like the in-sump design...but don't know the skimmer.

I don't have direct experience with the urchin, but the Remora, which I've had two of, is basically the same design.

I wouldn't use it in anything over 20-30 gallons, I don't know about the "Pro" model, but personally I wouldn't waste my time with it either. As far as noise, you may not hear the pump in the urchin, but the spray injection system is fairly noisy in itself.

I'm sorry I can't help with what you SHOULD go with, I can only point out the negatives of that skimmer.. lol
