Software Upgrades

That's right, I am never satisfied. This Saturday (22nd) I will be updating our software. I always like the latest and greatest So the site will be down for a short while. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. It will likely take place between 10am and 1pm Pacific time on Saturday.

Don't worry about it Chuck...You can keep the site down for as long as you want or need to, seeing that I don't have a computer at home right now until I'm finished getting screwed by the computer company here in the Bahamas with warranty work(LOL) So you just take your time. It's really hard keeping up with the threads now anyway and I feel like a new member here when I do get a chance to use a computer and I see what all I've missed. Aw well, such is life...I'm just kidding with the time frame(LOL) I hope you get things worked out quickly and smoothly for everyone. I wouldn't wish a slow upgrade on anyone (except ou computer company)(LOL). Good luck Chuck and if you get a chance, wish me luck too in a small prayer, so I can get back online soon and burn up some more server space!(LOL)

Had to shut down again to fix some front page issues but think I am set to keep it open now Hope it all works !!!!

And if you notice anything fun in this version, let me know because I have really not had a chance to play around with it much.

There's not 'a lot' of fun things for the end user in this release. I think the most useful end-user feature is being able to delete all PM's from a folder with a single click. Once people get the hang of it, using the [attach]attachid[/attach] BBCODE within posts can be really useful.

Yah, I think the upgrade is an all about me upgrade as it makes things easier with the board from an administration point as we keep moving forward.

Oh without a doubt it is much easier to use from an administration standpoint. The inline moderation is great and the coolest things are the hooks, if you guys do any customizing.
