Hey does anyone know what solvent should be used with spa-flex pvc tubing to scedual 40-80 pipe? I have been using oatly rain-r-shine for all my rigid pvc pipe. Not sure if I need to use something else? The genius pool at Lowes and Home Dee-pot couldn't give me an answer.
Thanks, Scott

I have used both the rain and shine as well as the standard PVC solvent and they both worked well.I would use the rain and shine. Alternatively www.savko.com (no affiliation)sells a PVC solvent specifically for flex PVC, I have used this also.

I've been using Weldon for PVC, available at Home Depot. Make sure you use the primer too though- The primer softens up the flex enough to get it to slide in to the fittings, as well as giving the glue an extra bite.

No leaks yet with that method, although I've seen some reports that you are supposed to use a special spa-flex glue instead.
