I remember meeting Jake last year when he made a presentation at our May 2007 meeting. He was well received. Will he be speaking on the same topic or something different?

Jake is pretty dog gone energetic. We had a equipment failure at Shark Reef. It did not give him a opportunity to show his best stuff. It still wowed the group with drawings on a black board. I think he would do even better with a room like BCC. I wish we could do a attitude adjustment party for PSAS at his meeting. Jake is a kick in the pants. We went out to Red Robin with him before meeting.

I agree Ed. I think PSAS should take all those speakers out to lunch or dinner who do not charge speaker fees. It shows we appreciate them.

May be we should go with Randy before or after the meeting. I am in if someone wants to go...

I'm just confirming that everything is on for Jake Adams next month. Is the BCC room booked? Normally the club pays for the airfare and lodging for two nights. Jake is wanting to visit the area for a bit longer, so I propose this:

The Club buys the airfare, and a rental car from Thursday to Tuesday. And Jake is on his own for lodging. Car rental for that time period is around $150.

I dont see any problem with it either. I'm the only one who really showed any interest. It may be too late but is this what the club wants?

I am interested in this also. Just didn't post here because I spoke with ghazni on the phone about it. I do not see any problems with switching the hotel with car rental. Was there any speaker fee or are we only paying car rental and airfare?

I see no problem if we give him 150 dollars for this. I think we need to set a limit.

So air travel and 150 dollars. He will most likely stay with Randy or his girl friend. I just hope he has a good time. We keep good relations with speakers with hopes they pass it on to other guest speakers. It should be a good time. I hope we can go to Red Robin again before his presentation as group. This guy is a kick.

I can start working on a write up if I can get these details (and any other I think of before it is done)

JAke wants us to book his flight. I just checked and the flight is for 190$. Do you have any problem with me booking and paying for his flight?

I would assume the 15th, but would double check with Jake on which day works best for him.
