sps help

what type of light should i use over my sump.

PC, VHO, or T-5 HO in the 7,000K - 10,000K range will work fine. Halide or natural sunlight of course would work best.

today i put a 70w hqi 14k light on my sump with all the good algae and 10# of live rock. my latest test: ph 8.3/ nitrate 0/ phos. 0/ alk. 10/ mag 1240/ sal. 1.025/ temp 78/. can anyone think of anything i can add to my sump to help? thanks to all and have a great holliday season. rod denny

i put a small monti on the bottom of my tank. it closed up and looka bad. as you can see all my tests are good. the tank i got it from was loaded with sps and all wre open. any gueses?

Did you just put it in the tank? If so give it some time. It might be in a little shock and in protection mode. I had a red cabbage leather frag that took over a month to open. I just put in a small zoo colony and it took a week for all of the polyps open.
