I just got my new JBJ 28 Nano set up all levels have been tested and are good. I plan on making it mostly an sps tank. My question is how long Do i have to wait until i can put my first SPS in. And what do i have to do to get it to that point

need good lighting and alot of flow. most would say 30-50 times water volumn inside the can for flow. at least t5 for light and would recommend halide personally.

i have the new led lighting system they say that it has around the same lighting as the 150 watt MH i was wondering how long does it have to be established before introducing them

If parameters are good ammonia nitrites are 0 and few nitrates you should be ok. just make sure you can test for cal alk and mag as those are very important also. Id also suggest a phosphate test also.

nope you sure dont have to wait. your cal needs to be between 420-480 and alk 8-11 dkh . i like to run my mag higher at 1500 or so.

make sure you cycle your tank to make the water stable.

Cal 420 to 500
dkH 8 to 11
Mag 1260 to 1500 (three times the amount of Cal)

Those are the basics but you can find several other charts to tell you where the other levels should be.

Also, make sure you are not running over 80F and have a way to control temp during the hotter summer days. SPS usually stress in captivity after a few hours over 81-83F. Not every tank but most;) Its really easy to overheat smaller tanks!

you tell me to wait for coraline algae and one more thing can i get some of the big pots at you moms house
