Since 1guydude was interested in my tank from back in the 1990's here it is!
The tank was a 60 gallon acrylic with a 4' hamilton hood that housed two 400w 10k halides and two 4' vho actinics.
The tank had a hang on the back overflow box that went to a 20 gallon rubbermaid tub that housed a 4' tall!! venturi driven skimmer. Biweekly water changes where made with red sea salt and i was using kalkwasser as my makeup water for evaporation.

Here are a couple of pics from back in the day

they where ushios. 10k was the highest kelvin we could get back then. The choice for halides was 5500k, 6500k or 10k

I know.
You really had to look to find 10k. Or know where to look.
When I first looked for mh bulbs, all I could find were 6500k's and I didn't like what I saw.

Everything from that tank got sold when i moved. So no idea if any of it might still be around. Funny thing is i have been growing SPS longer then some reef keepers have been alive

I always wonder I went through two total moves over the years and I have four corals even after I was sure they were dead popped back up.

M.I.A Don't worry I'll be found!
