I have four sps packs with 10 frags each @ $100

Tyree sunset montipora
True montipora undata
ORA green Stylophora
Montipora Setosa
Miagi Tort
Sour Apple Birdsnest
ORA Green tip with orange Birdsnest
ORA Hyacinth Birdsnest
ORA Green Birdsnest
Purple Montipora digitata

I can also throw in a couple bonus frags too. Orange ricordia, ORA green leather coral, or the Hollywood stunner Chalice.

I'll get some pictures up tonight.

I would highly recommend anyone interested to jump on these.
Duane is very generous and EVERYBODY typically is blown away with the value.

I am. Do you want me to bring you one?

That would be awesome. I'm not able to stay for the meeting, but could meet you at odb at 1 or so? (By the way, I believe we talked at the bra sale...you and I and Dana...)

I'm going to frag everything up tonight and will post some pics. Then you can chose a number for a WYSIWYG pack. I'll be there for most of the meeting so one o-clock will be fine.

Hey Duane,
I'm interested I one of the starter packs, but wondering if I can ask a question/get your opinion first. what do you think of these levels for keeping sps?
Alk: 1.5 (elos and API kits)
CA: 380
Mg: 1400
pH:: 8.4
Salinity: 1.026
28 gal nano (established three months)
Daylight 25 x 3W 14K
Dawn/Dusk 4 x 3w

I have a bunch of softies, zoos, and a Birds nest frag in there and BTA and things look healthy.
Can't get Alk lower and therefor ca above 380 despite three weeks of 15% water changes 3x/week (still at it). I'm dosing 15ml of B-Ionic calcium (no alk) 4-5x/week. Will Sps be ok with these levels?
Thanks
Chris

Sweet. should iI bring a bucket or something or are you able to 'package' them?

I dont understand the 1.5 Alk reading. Usually everyone posts with a Kh reading near 3-4 or a Dkh reading between 7-11.

What kind of salt are you using? When I had a 30 set up with most of these corals two years ago I used only Instant Ocean and only relied on WC's every two weeks.

These are not expert or hard to keep corals and you should be fine.

Unfortunately, I have about 70 frags in the tank right now and cant really make a WYSIWYG picture at the moment. I'll see what I can do in the next couple hours.

I can't' decide if that looks like fun, or just a whole boat load of work. :)
I'm not worried about the wysiwig, but wouldn't mind a bit of advice on how to deal with "fresh cut" frags if you have/there is any. I don't believe I've had any this "fresh" before (not that I would really know for sure I suppose). I'd assume they are a little more sensitive in the early stages, although I guess it could be the total opposite. My usual "routine" isn't complicated, I just a dip and place them a bit low in the tank for a the day, then monitor and move them towards their intended spot within a couple days or so, more or less depending on how I perceive their reaction to the tank. I also try to only introduce corals on an opposite week of my water changes, giving them a chance to settle since the "upheaval" of a water change while not overly stressful is stressful... Anything in that routine I should change in this case (or in general even, I mean, I don't claim to know anything about anything. lol)

I take all of my local SPS straight out of the bag, dip them and then mount them exactly where I want them to be permanent. I always have and rarely lose a coral. These are all very hardy corals and if you have any problems I'll just give you another frag to replace the one that dies if you have any issues.

I'll make sure to bring you down some nice pieces that I'd be happiest with. Since your first in line. I'm sure you'll be happy.

I appreciate that, and I don't know how to phrase this to make it sound right, so please forgive me if its sounds excessively silly.. sometimes (ok, well most of the time) putting thoughts into words on a screen can be tough for me. I have a few pieces doing well, but also a lot of open space.. so, I'm in the "see what sticks" stage.. I'm not picky, and all I care about is health. I'm just venturing into SPS and the tank these are going in is in the still in the early stages of growth with most things. If you have "better" pieces and someone else in line who is at a stage where they need to be "picky" then I'll happily forfeit my first in line status so that they get what they would be looking for. Hope that does something to actually convey what I'm thinking. I can never tell :)

Well, it sure looks like I should never have to buy SPS ever again. More than agreed on, and some really nice looking pieces! Once they settle in a bit I'll post up some crappy phone pics, but pics none the less. Thanks again Duane!
