next weekend saturday or sunday early morning work best for me but ,not the week of 26th through the weekend ,,you will not get into my conmunity/USGA senior Campionpionship tour,,let me know

Wow, Dang, you live at Sahalee? I went to the PGA tour when it was there years ago, and saw Tiger, and Vijay, it was awesome!! Thats a neat place!

Bryan, we started with green mushrooms. Some cheap zoos are easy too. Xenia! easy, but you may want to get rid of it some way down the road. It can take over.

Oh, but don't do an anenome until you're pretty confident in your ability to keep lots of things happy an healthy. They also require HIGH lighting. It takes experience to spot a good healthy one too, and know what the heck they are doing in your tank. I think most of us have made the mistake of trying an anenome too early, and its sad. We've been doing this for 3 years, and I'm thinking once our new tank is established, I may be ready to try one.
There are SO many awesome people here on RF, you'll have no trouble finding some awesome corals that you can take care of! And it's awe-inspiring to see some of these tanks, and the things they are growing!!

Have fun with your tank! good 'starter' corals for me were:

1. Pulsing Xenia
2. Mushrooms
3. Kenya Coral
4. Frogspawn
5. Leather corals

I wish you were closer, I got lots of Xenia and Kenya frags I'm trying to re-home! Also got a lot of mushroom babies...

lvsuckerfish - were those free? Just joking!

fayzane - thanks for the offer.

It's amazing how helpful and giving everyone is on this site.

Thanks for all the great help and advice everyone has given. And thanks for the free starter items that have been offered.

I have some purple postulopora (sp) frags. They are small polyp stony. Easy SPS if you want to try that. I also have tons of GSP (green star polyps.)

I can give you either or both if you want to stop by. I'm in seattle central district
