Hmmm, I found this <blank> <blank> of a <blanking> crab in our tank that I think is eating some of our corals. I'm more frustrated than anything and wanted to vent! But I am curious is anyone is aware of any specific crab(s) that eat at corals that I can research.

Every morning I find this little jerk in a colony and that colony has exposed skeleton in it that was not there the night before. All effected corals have recovered so but this crab seems to be getting more and more "active."

I was going to try and save him, be humane and pull him out alive and put it in our sump but now I plan on skewering it...I'll post a pic when I have his head on the tip of the pike!

Maybe I'll try a trap tonight and if I see him not in the trap but on a coral again tomorrow morning, look out PETA!!!

I have had a couple of them in the past. I used a pair of tweezers to extract them. It took a couple of tries to get them. They need to be removed as they can cause quite a bit of damage.

Regards,
Kevin

Close again this morning...I need some longer tweezers and am going to try to poke it into a net.

Amazing that this little crab has so far outwit me...don't know what that means, but... :)
