Yes,

We are told its perfect for anything from 12"x12" to 24"x24". Should be a great option. I brought them in with our 18x18 cubes in mind.

I'm really wanting that light!!! Not sure about the tank though. I wouldn't mind replacing the the nano, but with a tank with different dimensions. Guess we'll have to make a "special" trip over to check out the LED light. Thinking about maybe coming over the 1st of April.....just have to talk Michaeal into it......haha!!!

Michael...we tried it on a tank with a 24x24 footprint and its too focused. I wouldn't use this light on anything bigger than 18x18.

Had to look up the dims on an Aquapod 24g. Its been a long time since I've seen one. Much smaller than 24x24 so you should be fine:) I had it stuck in my head that your tank was 24x24 for some reason.

Cy, Thanks for the good news. I'll have to save up for this light for my Nano instead of buying a new bulb for the Halide. Thank you again.

Hi. Another thread pointed me towards these lights and so far I can't find very much information on them. I'm starting up a Solana 34 next week, and still need to settle on lighting. I'm very drawn towards LED because for environmental factors, but most of the are so expensive that they seem out of my range at the moment. These Sunbrites look awesome. Do you think they would we adequate for a Solana 34, which is 20" across? And do they provide enough output to grow anything that I might get inspired to try, or would I have to upgrade again later? Very excited about this option if it would work on the Solana. Thanks! Dawn

Yes they provide enough output but you may find them a little bit to focused for 20". We thought they looked good on an 18x18 but someone tried one on a 24" long tank and said it didn't light it end to end. You could always try one and return it if you don't think it covers the full length well enough. Its information we'd love to get a report on:)

So I gather from Sunbrite's website that they are releasing a slightly larger version for $350. Is this system available yet? And would it maybe be more appropriate for the Solana (which is 20" wide and just as deep)? And if so, do you guys at Barrier Reef have it in stock yet?

Thanks!
