Shipping costs are really preventing me from going with online ordering. I'll call Barrier and see if they can order one for me in their next shipment.

You know any one of our sponsors would be happy to get one for you. I Got mine at Red C in Shoreline. He has them pretty regularly. Barrier in Renton would probably have them on a regular basis too. And Oceans By Design. Check with them all. One of them is bound to have one or able to get one.

Do my water tests seem off..?

MG 1600!!! Is this a tester error..probably.. :(
Nitrate 2
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Calcium 380
KH(MEG/L/DKH) 2.9/8.1
PH 8.1
Temp 81.5
Salinity 34ppt

I will check out Red C..it is way NORTH for me..but oh well cheaper than shipping :)

I believe I have all the flatworm exit out..but I will do another water change and carbon change this weekend just to make sure then retest.
So how do I fix a problem like that? I have not gotten into dosing yet or the water chemistry balancing act.

water changes are your friend as is time..

do a water change, wait a day or two, and then test..
I would not do anything to Mg, just let it fall down on its own...

Agreed. A water change and carbon change are planned for Saturday to gather any residual flatworm exit meds :) The wrasse has been located and purchased and is happily eating the worms as we speak.

Wow it has been a while.. so sorry to not keep you all updated...

Things are so so on the tank. I am getting a lot of brown algea build up.

My plan to battle this..
1. changing to a weekly 10% water change to see if that helps things grow better. My corals torch is great.. but the other corals are not doing well.
2. I am also still battling the red worms..not going away..no matter what I do. So I am going to add some more predators to these worms.. emerald crab?
3. I am also going to ramp up the clean up crew and get some more sand sifters to help battle sand bed cleanliness. I think I have grossly under estimated how much clean up crew I needed.
4. I am also going to change the position of some of my water flow.
5. Also going to add some purple up it seems like my rocks should be changing color and they are not..so I am guessing not enough of the good bacteria.

On top of that I am getting ready to sell my home and move... so I have not had lots of time to keep up on things. The big issue will be how to move this 180 gallon tank without loosing life... :) We are building a house so it will have to move 2 times!!! FUN TIMES..

And.. to add to the pile.. one of my OBD LED's lights are not working..time to call Oceans by Design and see what's up.

Update: OBD is doing all they can to replace my lights YIPPY. Thanks MIKE!

Now my plans... update:
1. I have been doing water changes every 2 weeks..have not been able to do this weekly.. Moved some corals around and they seem to be doing better.
2. Red worms have been controlled. I added 2 sapphire damsels.. they have helped a lot :)
3. I got a really great sand sifting star fish.. fun ! so cool.. he seems to be happy away cleaning. Also got a couple of emerald crabs for the tank. Don't see them much but they are around.
4. Have not done a water flow change..but am thinking of the swirl sweeps..like the idea of more motion.. just have to save up the money for it.
5. Did not do purple up.. I think I am doing ok there.. just need to keep working on the lighting..once OBD gets me the new lights I can work on controlling it better and am able to keep algea under control. So speaking of algea.. I started getting purple hairy algea on my brain coral..grr. So while I was getting OBD to look into my lights I had them off for 2 days.. and viola the purple algea went away. So lighting and amount of time under full light is the factor here. I have changed my lighting cycle to be 7am-10am blue only, 10-5pm full on, 5pm-10pm blue only.. since that is my only option. I will see how the week goes. When I do water changes.. I am blowing out the detritus into the water collumn so the skimmer can get it. and tooth brush scrubbing rocks to keep the algea at bay.. Hopefully I can figure out the right flow and light so I don't have to resort to toothbrush cleaning.

Update:
Lights are replaced and can I say AWESOME...

Performing water changes every 2 weeks.

Then I started having a Cyano outbreak.. so I got to remove some phosphates. I put in 1/3 of the phosphate pearls in my reactor..took out my carbon and have it sitting under the skimmer outflow..Now I have a bacteria bloom..geesh..

Not sure if the bloom was from adding teh phosphate pearls or what.. or if it is just temperature..it's been rather warm these days.

I am guessing it will clear soon..I am giving the phosphate stuff 2 weeks to clear the cyano...bummer..

Oh and my star fish didn't make it.. sad.. :(
and eradicated some green bubble algea that decided to grow on my torch by dipping the torch in RPS..hopefully I didn't miss any and it won't spread. I was surprised by how hard those little green bubbles are...unfortunately got a few squirts in the face by them..so far I haven't grown any green bubbles yet ...;)

Things are balancing out. I have less algea(brown) however the cyano..is still there. I will add more phosphate pearls this week..and do another water change...I have turned off the lights but that only was temporary..

Speaking of water change.. in my new house I am so designing a system to make the water changes so much quicker. Not sure how yet.. but I will get my little brain moving on it.. soon..
Feeling like a slave to water change with such a big tank.. I want to enjoy the tank not constantly have to haul water...scrub rocks..suck out cyano... feeling discouraged today :(
