250/300 gallon+ folks. Talk me out of my upgrade
Would you do it again if you had a do over? Are you happy you went big/bigger? What would you change if you were to do it again?

Bigger is better, lots of room to grow and opens the door to species you couldn't keep otherwise.

Downside, Cost, Cost, Cost!!
Also dedication time, even with all of the fancy equipment, there always seems to be things needing done, it is like your other child, you need to care for it continuously & now even more stuff to worry about because you went bigger, spent more money and have this beautiful tank you must at all cost keep it going. Operation cost goes up also, your electric meter spins faster LOL!

If you can afford the money and space, do it. You won't regret it.

I went from a 90 gal to 75 gal to 38 gal to an Aquapod :heh: Don't follow me. When I start up another tank I'm beginning at a 125 gal :D

Is there some way to clean out the inside overflow box?

No, not really, and I hate that too, just didn't have a great alternative. The plan is bottle brushes and an MJ 1200 that I have set up to push water through...

Mine is the same way. I figured bottle brushes would be the tool, but it's very difficult to reach on a 30" wide tank.

I never thought about pushing a maxijet up to it. May have to get it a shot and see what happens.

If it makes you feel any better i just drilled two 2.125" holes in the floor... and cut the ceiling out of the bassment, and moved "A" stand down stairs,

Just build it.... Do it nice or do it twice

*this is my 3rd time
