Decided to try and shoot my newly set up mini reef tank. Fish have only been in a couple of days, so they are not fully relaxed in their new environment. This guy came out of hiding long enough to get 2 or 3 shots. Need to control the lighting a little better and I sure will be glad when the white rock grows a little color. Hopefully I can catch him in a better pose, once he gets accustomed to his new home.

I mainly shoot with a Nikon D3, Nikon 60mm Micro lens and at least one SB-800 flash over the tank triggered by a SU-800 controller.

I put mine on my photobucket thingy and then copy the bottom line url code (there are four) and then paste in the post!!

I use Photobucket and copy the IMG line and paste it into a post.

Overhead flash is probably the best upgrade anyone can make for aquarium photography. If it is adjustable and easily diffused, it is even better! Buy a good flash system, nice macro lens and an entry level DSLR body. You can always upgrade the body.
