I think this test kit is screwed up this is the results of the second test I did. Just to double check that I did it right.

I dont have any other test kit. I would also like to check Cal. Mag AND alk.

I see some LPS in my tank not doing so well

I would like to get a handle on this before I loose anything.

Temp 79- 82 daily swing
Sal. 1.26

Thanks for looking

Thanks Scoot.
So far nothing is way out of wack. I have started a large water change. I am starting a large water change, I am only able to do 10 gal at a time. I will do 50% over the next 5 days.

The first one wad PH
Did I not present the pics of the results in the correct way? I thought they were on a white back ground. Advise please.

I've found with the PH API test kit you MUST hold it up to bright natural light next to the card to get an accurate reading!! the rest look to be near perfect. :)

Peppie I thought that was concrete but now I see the white pp towels just it is shadowed by the photographer LOL!

I think your good peppie I said Saliflert but Mouse is right about the API test kits.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will hold off on the last 10 gal water change.
I will post later on the cause of the retracting LPS

Dave. Call me back. I will come up and run a full set of Elos tests to double check everything. What's your temp look like with today's heat?

I have a friend that is color blind so everyday he thinks it's going to rain because he can only see gray :p. Tests look pretty good except for that phosphate one and the ph looks like that color isn't even on the chart LOL.

Thanks guys for looking.
Eric came by with his Elos Test kits THANKS Eric

Ammonia 0

Nitrite 0

Nitrate .02

Phos. 0

PH 8.2

Alk 6

Mag 1250

Cal 610

Sal. 1.26

Temp 80

I know the Cal. is way high. I have been adding a calcium supplement to my ATO, Iwill not add any more
I dont know why these numbers would cause my Frogspawn and LT Plate Coral to retract.
All other corals Zoas, Leathers. Shrooms, Fish all look fine

One correction Dave. Your Nitrite (NO2) was .02 not Nitrate. Anyone else think this could have been a small cycle from the tank change over several weeks ago?

Testing /reagent reaction error or is zero.

How are things looking now? Is the frogspawn opened up any more?

I agree. if it was a spike the ammonia would not be zero.

as for the hi Ca++ Peppie, you can bring that down fairy fast with water changes and stopping the dosing.

Were you dosing a calcium product for any particular reason? What was it? It may be the reason for your lps issues. Was it kalk or something else?
