What a great posting! That tank looks amazing! If I ever get a house I'll have to make sure there is a good fish room so I can set something like this up. Love that L shape tank and the tile work is a great touch.

Anyway if anyone needs drawings or 3d renderings to help get tanks built feel free to send me a pm. I can do something this complicated or more so but probably not for free. Frags, food, or brewski's seem to work for little things like sumps and such =)

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I like anybody who gets totally carried away.
Mighty fine.

Boy, I though I know about getting carry away with our hobby.
Great system. I got to see it when I back to Seattle.

Awesome tank

Majorreef, how much would a setup like this cost me if I wanted to construct a monster like this. I have to say this is the best tank setup i have ever seen. You have done AN EXCELLENT JOB! is there any way you could give me pointers on equipment and setup? Thanks

Eyes glazed over....

Man, that is totally freakin' awesome!!!

I saw your tank on a "Tank of the Month" feature, and have been back to look at it several times.

Can I please, please, please come over and see it ;)

Really fantastic job, great planning, really great results. Thank you for posting so many progression pics. I absolutely love that sort of stuff!!! Seriously great.

P.S.: The wife and kids also asked me to say : "Neat", "Wow! That's cooler than yours, dad", and "Will he let us come over?"

Unbelievable!!

Your tank is truly amazing. There aren't to many tanks in the NW that would rival it. Great documentation on this thread, I enjoyed seing the progress in the pictures.

that is one sweet tank. i can't wait until i get to build a new house because i am going to build a large tank into the plans.

That was so awesome! Good documentation of the evolution as well. Its good to see I am not the only one using the rubermaide poly tanks either!

Again, what an impressive display you have!!!

Thanks Mike and Ritsuko for the kind words.

Mike the tank is basically two 8 foot faces, one being 36 inches fron to back and the other being 24. The whole tank is 30 inches tall

Mike, been a while since we saw some photo updates, I think you mentioned that you made some major changes?

I dont know what to say. That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Do you stay up late at night staring into it, rubbing your hands together, and going "precious, my precious" in a slightly demented tone of voice? I have to say I would. Just outstanding, and all I got to see is pictures. Thanks Man. I am glad you shared that with us. STEVE

Thanks steve, to be honest I dont get enough time to enjoy as I should.

Scott I did a big aquascaping change and a little more plumbing, thier are some pictures floating around on RF showing what we did. RIght now I am just letting the tank stablize a little more before putting all the corals and stuff back in. So far its just the anenomes, clams and fish in thier.

Hey Mike, what lighting setup did you finally settle on?
My 10/20k mix over 6' didnt mix well with only 4 MH.
I dont like the total dim blue of 20ks, and I dont like the yellow/green of 10ks. Curious what you found that you liked personally... and if your mixing colors how close are the MH's?
thx

I never get tired of seeing those pics Mike. Absolutely spectacular my friend. :D

How abot some current pics of your tank and the deck! ;)
