Is there a recomended sump water height with these skimmers?
Scott
Above the intake port and below the output port. :D Anything between them wont matter. Obviously, too low and you suck excess air into the pump; too high and your skimate will just be tank water. That's why some folks have to put their skimmers on stands, their sumps are too deep to keep the water level between these two ports.

Mark, I would assume the output height is adjustable to allow the consistency of the skimate to be adjusted wetter->dryer. Is that correct, it's hard to tell from the pictures?

from what i understand there is a means of adjusting the internal water level via a screw on the output i believe, or if you look at the smallest model it has an adjustable riser return pipe.
