The blue one is really friendly like a cleaning shrimp, he jumps on my hand and tries to clean when I'm crushing up flakes for them underwater.

IMO That is the best way to run a pico. Having a much much larger sump will keep the system manageable.

Canon T1i on manual 1/20, f7.1, ISO100, AWB and just correct color via the windows image editor. Colors are pretty dead on but without correction they looked a bit purple.

How is that bulb working out for you? I am thinking of doing some diy cree leds for a future 7.5gal (12x12x12)cube build. The bulb you are using though looks like a really good alternate. Let me know what you think of it so far!
