Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

I just wandered over to RC to post on tunze USA's forum and saw a lot of people were having my same problem. They attribute it to either "low voltage" or it being "tight" from the factory in which case it will loosen up.

Ill plug in the ole kilowatt when I get home to check the voltage. I sincerely doubt its low though given this is the first problem Ive encountered.

As expected the voltage was fine(119.7). This weekend when Im doing my maintenenace Im going to take it apart too see if the shaft itself is loose. That is also a problem people seem to be running in too. Its a shame that they pushed the release of these so quickly. A few more months of testing could have saved them a lot of face. The tunze board on RC is literally full of people with the same problem. They have awesome CS though so Im not worried about not getting a working unit, just annoyed.
