I tried to make a few frags of my pearlberry coral, and all frags have bleached out within a few days, ...

mother colony is fine, what might cause this? all I did was cut off about a 1" branch and use a small amount of super glue, as I do all my other SPS corals, but this one just died off pretty quickly

thought?

Hello,
Some corals can be shocked more easily than others. The one you are referring to has been quite color sensitive IME although I haven't had any trouble with frags. I usually cut my frags with 6-8 branches and placed them in the same location as the parent colony. Smaller frags are always harder to keep when you are talking Acropora sp. Small frags do better when the parent colony is well established (6+ months in stable conditions).

Regards,
Kevin
