Top Off Tank

What I was thinking is I could mix the kalkwasser up in my kalkwasser bucket that has a valve in it, a 1-1/2" off the bottom, after a 24 hour period drain it to the topoff container. Shouldn't this be stired all the time?
Why a lid all the time?

Kalk will precip when it hits oxygen. Moving from one container to the next just seems like extra work. A powerhead on a timer is fine.

Today I picked up my custom made top off tank and it fits nicely in my stand. Hopefully it will work out. I still have to get the top off system.

Thats going to be real nice. With a tank that tall you going to have siphon issues with the ato pump, make sure you put in a siphon break.

You dont buy them. Just drill a hole right above the water leve and thats it. Works just like the return on your tank.
