Hello all, thought I would post a little log about my experience with the treatment for these little things...
Unfortunatly, I was unable to catch my cleaner shrimp so the process started with him in there.
I plugged the skimmer venturi and kept it running

12:45... Treatment started,no noticeable stress to fish or cleaner shrimp.

1:45...No noticeable change with red bugs,Fish and coral look well with no sliming.Cleaner shrimp looks well so far, pods still moving.

2:45...Some dead bugs others look lethargic,Fish look well and eating and no sliming of the corals. Cleaner shrimp looks ok and still have a thriving pod population.

3:45... No noticeable red bug movement,no slime on corals. Fish seem unstressed and ate well,Cleaner shrimp still looks the same as does the pod population. I have carbon and water ready for upcoming water change.
Three hours to go.

What size tank, and how much interceptor did you use? I treated incoming corals in a qt, and I noticed the biggest difference about hour 5. The corals started to slime a bit, and you could see the dead redbugs attached to the slime.

Good Luck, and keep us posted!

The main tank is a 75 and then I have a 20 gal frag tank and a 35 gal sump all plumbed together, with all the live rock and plumbing I guess I have about 115 gal total and I had a pharmacist crush and measure it out. I think it was 350mg or something like that,The whole pill weighed almost 1 gram and she measured out 2 doses 350 and one at 300. I printed out a web page for her to read and she crushed and measured it out for me and put it in to three separate bottles for me for the three times it will need to be done.

4:45...No redbug movement and very little slime on the corals. Cleaner shrimp still looks ok and the pods are still noticeable on the glass in the sump and main.Major polyp extension on the Oregon tort.

crocea clam is unaffected as well as all the fish. cleaner shrimp still looks unaffected and the pods are still noticeable on the glass. So far this has been a positive experience up to this point...One hour to go.

6:45... Well this has been a very positive experience. I cant see any more redbugs moving around the acro's, So far the cleaner shrimp is still alive and ALL of the inhabitants seem unstressed including the pod population which is very large to begin with... I just did a 20 gallon water change and started the posphate reator thats filled with carbon... I will do a second 20 gallon change in the morning and probably change the carbon for good measure.
As of right now it looks like the only thing affected by this was the redbugs. It also looks like two hermits I could not find earlier have also made it up to this point. Im going to wait about 10 days and do this again, hopefully the next treatment will have the same outcome.

I just finished the second water change and all is well. At night after lights outs you can see hundreds of ghost shrimp swimming around and I was worried they didnt survive,to my surprise they did! and the cleaner shrimp and hermits are still here also.
