Well I woke up this morning to find my RBTA shredded and my water clowdy:help:

Can I put anything over the intakes to keep the RBTA out?

I did a 50% water change so hopefully when I get home eveything won't be dead..

You can put foam over the outside of it, but why was the anemone on the roam. Normally they roam because of too much flow, or not enough light, or the combination of both. I think that you did the right thing by large water change. I would probably do one more just to make sure.

I will be running the carbon when I get home. The Tunze are round like Koralias so foam might be a problem.

you can use a vortech one might need to custom fit it though. test your water how long have you had the nem?

dont mean to steal your thread just have a related question. I just received a rbta and noticed last night that it was fully extended out. Is this normal activity for night time or is it planning on moving? I played it safe last night and unplugged all my power heads. I thought since it has only been in for a week it may not have found its place in the tank yet. Any help would be apreciated.

He may frag himself due to the stress. So just watch out where he goes. If he drops behind the rocks leave him be and watch to see if a second one pops up.

Did he SPLIT!!! Is that 2 i see or did heal up. I can't tell. Oh once you view the your image on Picasa you can right click of the image-copy then-paste here on the forum and it won't leave a link.

Did you have two anenome's to start with? The biggest thing I notice in that pic is that both of those anenome's are partially bleached telling me there something definately wrong with your lighting or water chemistry. They should not be pale and translucent.

He did not split and yes there are two. The second is the parent and was just added this week. He is growing new tenticles and the picture was too bright so here is a better rendition.

Brian, both of your anemones are bleached. Mot a game ending situation, just something to be aware of.

What lighting do you have over the tank? Your anemone being bleached is understandable since it shredded by the powerhead. The new anemone that you state is the parent of yours is mildly bleached. Both of your anemones should be fed regularly to regain health.
