, but no, it's not a steroid. Reef Plus is amino acids, and the pappone is all seafood with the sugar and L-glutamine. That can be purchased at any health food store.

sueT, have you ever tried the salifert's amino acid?
i love the stuff, pharm. grade chemicals, and highly concentrated.
they also remove all the amino acids that negativly effect corals, and only include the good ones.
$20 for a large bottle, i wish we carried it at the store i work at...
had great results on my old sps system.

Why would there be aminos that negatively affect corals? Aminos are the basic building blocks for all proteins....
Cwazy Clown, some do put HGH (Human Growth Hormone aka steroids) into pappone. But HGH is illegal in the US.... it's essentially fresh seafood, some algae and a little sugar blended up. You dose aminos before dosing pappone.

skimmerwhisperer, no I haven't tried the saliferts brand of AA's. I have been using the SeaChem. I haven't seen any locally, is it avaliable online??
