I'll be down in Seattle & Portland the week of April 17th. Any recommendations for some good LFS to visit? Not necessarily saltwater only........ I do keep some freshwater fish.

Cheers,
Vic [veng68]

salt water city
below sea level (smaller store, salt only)
Blue sierra (actually in issaquah, but only 20 min away).

The best FW store in Portland, imo, is The Wet Spot on NE Sandy at about 41st. Good SW stores in PDX are Waves, (the new) Hollywood Aquarium, Upscales (these three are close to each other in the Tualatin area), SeaHorse Aquarium Supply, (just over the 1-5 bridge into Oregon, and Soutas which is in SE Portland.

Happy Hunting :)

what are you looking for. If you want to go over the water shark reef gets some of the best LPS in the northwest.

I tried to find Waves but I just could not see the shop. I kept on seeing The Oregonian Newpaper Building and a bunch of Industrial Parks (no luck finding the store). THe Address I was using was 15844 Upper Boones Ferry Road.. Did they move?

Waves is in the Oregon Industrial Park which is right off I-5 at the Carmen Rd. exit. Go to the SW corner of the Industrial Park and they are there. Open Weds. - Sun.

Cool.

Maybe next time I am there.

I'm going down for a wedding on August 20th and I was wondering if the Bellevue Stores carried the "Coral" Magazine?

I know that blue sierra has it in issaquah but I am not the driver this time so if any store has it in the bellvue area that would be great.

Cheers,

Can anyone confirm these addresses for me...... I'm having trouble with the online directories. Also if these stores are in mall, strip malls or stand alone units (makes it easier for me to look for them)

Saltwater City (I get 2 addresses)
13626 NE 20th St
Bellevue, WA 98005
or
14150 NE 20th St
Bellevue, WA 98007

Sierra Fish & Pets
3710 Factoria Blvd SE
Bellevue, WA 98006

The Fish Store
6109 Roosevelt Way NE
Seattle, WA 98115

The Fish Store
1410 156th Ave NE
Bellevue, WA 98007

The Fish Gallery
601 Grandey Way NE
Renton, WA 98056

Thanks.

Oh yeah....... I do now and I have been to Blue Sierra in Issaquah....... but I don't think I can make it out there on this trip.

Cheers,

The correct SWC address is the one at 14150.

I'm not familiar with Sierra Fish & Pets.

The Fish Store in Bellevue is closed... but I'd avoid the one on Roosevelt as well unless you're looking for a tank or freshwater stuff.

The address for Fish Gallery is 601 Grady Way in Renton.

If you go to The Fish Store on Roosevelt Way, might as well visit me ;) I'm only about a mile or two away.

If you are interested in montipora caps, clownfishes, and chaeto.

Thanks,
Ilham

The main thing I am looking for is Coral Magazine. I know they have it at Blue Sierra but since I am not driving.......... I don't think I can get out there.

Hopefully one of the other stores will have it.

Cheers,
Vic [veng68]
