Mine isn't very long but hard to find a day goes by, where the tangs aren't quite happy swimming against the currents in the 6 foot tank. Does Krish reef snorkel commando?

The problem is Krish is still young and hasnt figured out its not about size but what you do with. Until he figures out what to do with it hes just going to have to rely on size.

LOL! :p Well, to add some more numbers to the thread, here's the flow I had on my 75gal when it was up and running... 5200 gph from a small closed loop, (2) Tunze's and sump return for about 69X turnover rate. A little less than the 38gal, but did the job and kept everything in suspension. On my 24gal Aquapod I had 1545 gph of flow for about 64x turnover rate...That did the trick as well. With that being said, I talk a lot about how I want to blow up the tank with flow because I really do like flow:D, but it isn't necessary to go to the extreme I do sometimes. All you need a great placement to keep the tank from having any deadspots and keep everything in suspension and that usually does the trick. :)

2x Seio 820: 1640gph
1 mag 9.5 @9ft head: 500gph (anyone else accounting for head loss?)
1 maxi 1200: 295gph
1 mod'd maxi 400: 106gph (probably closer to 200 after mod, so I am using that value)

2635/58g display= 45.4x turnover.

I agree I think the more flow the better especially in an sps dominant tank. I'm thinking of adding another 1000 gph to my current tank. :D

40B
1 k4-1200gph
1 k1-400gph
1 seio-620-620gph
1 rio 400-145
1 rio 600-200gph
------------------
total 2565gph divided by 50g = 51.3xph turnn over.

After you figure in glass thickness etc it may be closer to 40:confused:

120g (4x2x2)

Mag 12 return (1000gph after head loss)
Seio 2600
Seio 1500

5100gph / 120 = 42.5x flow rate in tank.

About 8x tank volume through the sump every hour.

200 fowlr , conservative estimates
Mag 36 return 2,400gph thru sump, 12 x
2 #4 koralia's in tank. 2,200 gph 12 x
Decent flowoverall but I want more!
