If you have some 1/2'' acrylic you can cut 4 pieces 1/2'' X 1/2'' X the height of the baffle. Weld the 1/2''square rod to the tank. weld the baffle to the rod, weld the last square rod to the baffle.

TAP Plastic carries all kinds of acrylic, both cast and extruded. They also carry a complete line of Weldon adhesive. The materials safety data sheet, which lists all factors regarding hazards of any products, says not to use E6000 on aquariums. E6000 is great at bonding acrylic to glass, but here are possible consequences. I have heard some people have used it with no known problems, but it says not to, so I don't. If you are using it just to bond acrylic, stick with the Weldon #3, #4 and #16. That is what they are made for.

I would not use any kind of silicone. It will not help you at all. First I would put your square piece where you want it, and tape it in with some blue painters tape. Next lay the 75 on it's side, and put some weight right above your square piece of acrylic. Wait some time, and it would help to have the tank somewhere warm, like room temp. Remeasure it to see how much of a gap you have. Report back what you find. I wouldn't use weldon #3 or #4 or even #16. These are all the wrong product of this kind of situation. PM me if you have any questions or need more info.
