Yea they said it was at around 6000K, sort of reminds me of the old iwasaki's???

Yep, plasma lighting will need to be supplemented with a higher K other light to look well. Unless your Sanjay and can stare at that type of lighting and love it
I fear though that the plasma idea has a long way to go before being useful for reef systems. The lighting is so bright it can burn the corals. There area few out there that are using them but it is still to new to tell where it will go.
