I'm running SE, 250w, Radium in my 45g without actinics....I really like the color.

Yeah i actually want the lighting you have in that tank. everything looked amaazing. Thanks for the corals, theyre doing fantastic btw.

That site looks familiar...

I ran 250 watt XM 10k's over my 120 for along time. Recently I switched over to the Phoenix 14K SE's over my tank. I lost a fair amount of intensity/PAR, but I'm much happier with the color of the bulbs over my tank.

I find the Phoenix 14k's look slightly more blue than my XM10k's with actinic supplementation...

Another good site for you to check out is http://www.manhattanreefs.com/lighting .

It takes just a bit to load up and not every bulb is on the list, (Sanjay has not tested everything out there...he does have a life outside of reefing...), but its a pretty valuable resource IMO.

+1 on that-I swapped all my DE MH bulbs to Phoenix and its one of the best thngs I have ever done, and I can honestly say I will never, yes never, try another bulb
