why is my remora not skimming?

It has stopped working for 2-3 weeks and it's not collecting anything @ all. I see some foam and my cup is on lowest level. I know my tank is not pristine so what can be the problem. I cleaned it last week but to no avail.

Any help/ideas/suggestions?

what are you useing to power it?
is the pump clean......

ive also took the hole thing out side and hosed it down.

great skimmer tho... dont let people talk crap about it.... people always thing more money gets you better product,

take it all apart... clean the skimmer out. clean the pump
clean the basket.. for the pump.

was the hole thing down with some old turn out salt water from a water change...
and give it a few days...... it could also be something you added 2 your tank..

Also use that tiny brush that came with it & clean the injector head, it worked wonders for mine & I use the MJ1200. I do have a bigger pump but found it to work as good with the MJ. Just unscrew the while screw in the supply to the injector & brush it well or soak it in vinegar.

just to add... to what scooter said....
but i have 2 remora ones a nano... that came with the maxi 900... i think the maxi 1200 works best.

i will soon replace my both with new 1200's

I had a remora and no matter what i did, it wouldn't skim anything, I added two more pump's to upgrade it and it did nothing but add more micro's and watts to the tank. If it won't skim i'd contact aquac as they have good CS and may send you one that works.

im afraid your going to have to let me talk crap about an utterly worthless skimmer that is grossly overpriced...
i said it before and i'll say it again, i HATE aqua c skimmers, all of them...

my own private hell consists of me being stuck in a lfs with nothing but aqua c skimmers to use

why can i talk crap about this skimmer??
BECAUSE I HAVE ONE RUNNING ON MY TANK RIGHT NOW UNTIL I GET MY WM H1...and in the last WEEK it has pulled about 6-8 ounces of skimmate...
that is what it should be pulling every day!!!

and no, i didnt buy this skimmer, it came with a nano setup i purchased.
and as a matter of fact, someone can HAVE this skimmer for free when i get my WM h1

I am using MJ1200. Like I said, I cleaned it 2 weeks ago but I will try cleaning it again.

But I agree, it does not live up to the expectation for what I paid.
