Well around 5:30 this morning my wife and I woke up to a strange clanking sound coming from inside the house. So I stumbled out of bed in quite a daze, since I had pretty much just fallen asleep after a big birthday party for a couple brothers of mine. At first I thought it was my dog eating his food or something but he was in his bed staring at me with a great WTF look. I then realized the noise was from the room with my tank in it. So my first thought was that the pump on my HOB skimmer was freaking out clanging around in the overflow box. So I peered over the light to the back of the tank to realize the noise was actually my trigger fish who had jumped out of the tank!! He managed to land in my hang-on plastic container I use to bag corals, I also keep my tongs and scraper in there which was what the clanking noise came from. So, in my hung over daze, I grabbed the container off the tank threw the tongs/scraper aside and hucked the fish back into the tank. He is doing just fine this morning and is one lucky fish.
