I got home from work today and while I was checking my email, I looked at my zoanthid tank and noticed a couple colonies that were closed up. So I grabbed a magnifing glass and found the reason.

Notice the egg mass.

I'd just get a melanarus wrasse.
Any new additions that you didn't dip?

I have a melanarus wrasse in my 240 ( where the infected colonies are now, after the dip).
And yes, these pieces were just brought in without a dip.

Or if you want to treat the tank you can treat with flatworm exit but it wont kill the eggs so you will have to repeat again 2 or 3 times to be effective and get any newly hatched nudis.

FWE doesn't really kill them by itself. It's usually added to a freshwater dip along with lugols iodine.

I've been reading on RC about using ReVive to help kill the eggs.

Myself and my neighbors both did a 3-4 times dosage of FE with great success....but yes, you need to retreat to kill the unhatched eggs....good luck!

Todd (cherry corals ) said CoralRX is good stuff..
red bugs monti eating monti's
zoo eating nudi's
flatworms.
And all other inverts :)
Dip only not a full tank treatment unless you want all crabs and shrimp to die!
And clams.

That's pretty darn funny.

Actually it should be a sticky.

I should know this already.
If you can't quarantine your corals, you should atleast do somesort of a dip.

Those are nasty buggers:mad:
Couldn't just sit back and enjoy your tank, got to dip your hands in there for something.
I've been using ReVive, can't tell if it works.
That's a funny video, now I have to go buy CoralRx.

I may give this a try tomorrow when I can find some FWE.
I thought I had all the affected colonies removed from the tank last night, but when I came home tonight, I found two more colonies with adult nudi's on them.

Going to be looking for a wrasse in the Halichores family.
Maybe a green coris if I can find one.

On a side note, I tried using ReVive on one of the colonies and the nudi didn't seem to be bothered after 10 minutes in the ReVive bath.
I'm going on RC and calling bs on the thread
