    Is this my zoanthid predator?

When i read your first post i automatically thought Amphipod right from the start. They can be predatory and are known to eat Zoas. I have battled predatory Amphipods in multiple tanks and literally watched them get onto previously health frags and decimate them over night. They wrap themselves...

    I love my new light!

LOL i like your analogy there. I wouldn't be ashamed though. I'd like to see your tank with the Kessil.

    300 Cube 48X40X30

What coral is this? I have a tiny little frag of this that the LFS gave to me since it was flipped upside down and practically all dead.

    I love my new light!

I'm glad you like your Kessil. I've had one on my 20 long for about 5 months now. I agree that it's spread is pretty wide. I think what i like most about it is it's color blending. You don't experience any sort of disco or spotlighting that you see with AI Sol's or like my DIY fixture.

Got a TLF Reactor 150 with Bio pellets for an early V-day Present, should i use it?

So my fiance let me pick some stuff out at the LFS, only things i could find that i didn't already have were a media reactor and a Hydor Smartwave controller. I'm contemplating whether i should use the bio pellets or not. My 55g SPS tank parameters are usually 0-5 Nitrates and i don't usually...

Phasezero's LED 20 Long Mixed Reef - Tons of Pictures

Thanks, unfortunately the anemone didn't stay that way. I'll never understand what determines it's bubblyness but it's recovery was the only time it ever bubbled. It's back to it's long stringy tentacles, just like when i first purchased it from the store. It's huge now though, i'm talking 12"...

Phasezero's LED 20 Long Mixed Reef - Tons of Pictures

My cinnamon clown fish is a real turd. This particular cinnamon will tolerate it's tank mates for the most part other than a charge once in a while at my chromis and azure damsel. My 4" clarkii is a different story, anything wearing stripes in the same tank has a death wish. I had to get rid of...

Phasezero's LED 20 Long Mixed Reef - Tons of Pictures

This is my 20g Mixed Nano which i share with my fiance. It is our 3rd and most recent tank so it tends to get hand me downs of spare equipment and corals we don't have room for or no longer want in our main tanks. Due to this fact, it's probably been through 10 aquascapes since we started the...

    Isopods??

If they do happen to be isopods, they look like the Munnid Isopod as picture on this page. Hitch Hiking Copepods, Isopods and Amphipods . Says they are harmless if they happen to be.

    Unsuccessful for three years...

Nitrates of 5 is nothing to worry about. My SPS tank usually has around 5 ppm. Flow seems a little on the low side for a 100 gallon tank. Unless your return pump makes a bunch of flow. Just to make sure i'm reading it right, every month and a half you pull 40% and replace with new make up water...

    Amphipods anyone???

That is just creepy. I wish i could cleanse my tank of Amphipods, i hate them with a passion. Probably the best cleaner in a reef tank, until you get some that prey on corals. I swear they'll eat anything.

    Unsuccessful for three years...

If it were me i would try and take it back to the basics and just work on stability in all aspects. Forget the dosing for now and just do weekly changes. Go back to good old instant ocean and bring your light back down to 6-10 above the water line.

    Hello from Bellingham Reefer

Hi, I'd heard about this forum on one of my trips down to barrier reef in Renton a while back and finally got around to joining. I like that a bunch of this forum is from Washington state and it seems friendly. I live up in Bellingham and travel to Bremerton every month or so and of course hit...
