    Can I get these corals?

I would give it a month after transferring. Then go with the lps, montis, and such. Get a couple at a time and see how they do. I would avoid spending hundreds of dollars on livestock this quickly, even if it is a really good deal. -chris

    Does this Liverock look ok?

I read the link, sounds very different from my experience. I searched here is a link that was very similar to my experience: http://bomani.com/The_Digital_Reef/Int_Marine_Fish.html The rock I got looked similar to the pictures on the site, lots of life. I scrubbed it off and had a leather and...

    Does this Liverock look ok?

I got my live rock from this guy back in 2005 or so. It was great and I got a lot more than I was expecting. It was full of life, but after shipping caused a very large ammonia and then nitrate spike. Since then it has worked great! I had to break down my tank in 2008 and put the rock in...

    Which light should I get?

I would get a retro kit from reef geek with the bulbs. Get 4 now and then add 2 in a year or so when you get some more funds. That way it is expandable and you aren't wasting money on a cheap fixture you will most likely replace in a year or so anyway. -chris

    75G return suggestions

I would suggest looking at the velocity pumps, they are really quiet. Also, I have heard good things about the pan world pumps, very similar to the iwaki. -chris

Recommendation on cheap pump for top off?

How big is that flexiflo pump?

    Overgrown hair algae

I would recommend putting your skimmer in the inlet area, then fuge, then return pump. This way your skimmer has first crack at removing any contaminants, it also gives pods a better chance of getting to the display.

    Overgrown hair algae

I would recommend upgrading the skimmer. But until then read up on GFO for phosphate removal and carbon too. You can get a two little fishies type reactor or just get the bigger pellets and a filter bag. I would also remove the filter material, it is catching organic material and it is...

Look at the reefkeeper lite. For 99.99 you get temperature control and three other outlets you can control, for lights or powerheads.

pleas help is this the correct pump?

Here is some good information on sumps: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-01/gt/index.php here is marine depot's overflow boxes: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_aquariumpage.aspx?pagealias=overflow_boxes_cpr&gclid=CNWhhZW9sJ0CFShSagodmBdBiw I think it would be cheaper to find some one to...

pleas help is this the correct pump?

Add a sump, otherwise you are limited to hang on back skimmers. Measure the space in your stand and buy a used tank that will fit for the sump. You can glue in baffles yourself very easily. You can easily set up a sump like this for around 50 bucks for tank and supplies. Does the tank have...

Is a G3 Skimmer right for me?

I would go ahead and invest in a controller. This will have the temp control option, plus will work as a timer for lights and such. The Ranco's are great, but I think a controller plus the heater controls offer double protection. -chris

    Glass Supply in Bothell/Seattle

There was a gas supply place in Totem Lake I worked with when considering building a fish tank. They were very helpful and had pretty good prices. I forget the name but you can google. They will cut to size and prepare edges for a reasonable rate. -chris

One last attempt to see if I could get any type of assistance at reeffrontiers

I think the Dart would still be a little big for a return pump. You only need about half that flow rate. I would use a poseidan or panworld pump for a return with only about 1000 gph. If you have two overflows than this is about the max you can run as a return pump due to overflow limitations.

    RO/DI Filter

I have an RO/DI filter system that I bought new about four years ago. I waited about a year and replaced all the filters (except RO membrane) and bought a refillable DI canister and plenty of resin so I could refill when needed. About a year and a half ago my water production went way up and I...
