    Mag 18 and rust?

Some high quality stainless screws would be perfect. Not the cheaper stainless ones though. Lowes has them.

I think you mean EB8; a DC8 is an X10 direct connect device used with the AquaController 3 and lower. It can work with the Apex but the EB8 is the newer and smarter power control module.

    Neptune Apex

There is an Apex (which support Ph + ph/orp + temp + Tunze pumps) and an Apex Lite (ph + temp). Either can be brought up to the same features as the other using various modules. Each comes with an EB8 (think smart power control module) that your various devices plug into and are controlled and...

Here is the information: If you want to help test the latest firmware for the Apex, then read on. Don't expect this release to be perfect - that is why it is a beta release. If for any reason you are not comfortable putting beta firmware in your controller, I recommend that you wait for the...

They just released a new beta with a slightly different graph system; you can now overlay many graphs.

You may find that Quest is blocking inbound port 80 only and you may be able to use a different inbound port and get access just fine. I've never seen an ISP block all ports as that would cause many issues but it is somewhat common to block ports to keep you from running a webserver (e.g., 80...

    WHO'S LEDS?

Fins tend to disipate heat more evenly and quickly without hot spots.

    What's your photoperiod?

Technically, I vary since I use the season tables built into the Apex controller.

What type of lighting do you use?

Just upgraded from CPC+Mhd to AI 72 LED unit (selling the old light soon) and so far I really like the LEDs. Much more PAR (measured with a PAR meter) for much less $$ in electricity. I figured that just in lighting alone I'll save about $40 (and that doesn't include chiller running less).

    Billions of flatworms

They are pretty easy to remove by the mass but it difficult to ever remove them completely. You may notice that they are blown off surfaces with even a light puff of water. If you can, place a filter sock inline with your overflow and puff the rocks; this will put many in the water column and...

    All fish dead?

Did you clean the glass? I've seen this happen with an overspray of glass cleaner. Anything in the air that might have been disolved into the tank water by the skimmer?

    All fish dead?

I doubt that stray voltage is a cause; remember all the fixh in the water would be at the same electrical potential so it wouldn't have harmed them. I am suspicous of the ammonia; I'm not sure that a level or .5 can be attributed to fish decaying (but it can certanly be the cause of the...

    Phosphate Reactor ?

No, and in fact you should not run multi-media with GFO (IMO). GFO needs to tumble or it turns to concrete. IMO, it also has no value to run carbon in chamber 1 and GFO in a second inline chamber; you will forever be tweeking the flow in order to keep the GFO fluid.

Free; I wanted to make it available to members 1st and not get involved in shipping to somewhere.

    Want Carbon??

I changed carbon but have a 3.5 gallon, unopened container of "Elements Activated Carbon Filter Media by Eric Borneman". Yours if you pick it up or I might (not sure yet) be coming to the meeting in 2 weeks and could bring it along but ideally it's gone by then.
