    i got the same one but i dont remember what hes called i got him for 30$ they are a little aggressive towards my firefish but clowns and cardinals and dottyback he is fine. pretty cool guy though

    the wrasse will only end up getting it and cause more problems. remember if you decide to treat your tank do not use copper with a puffer. COPPER WILL HARM SCALELESS FISH

    what you are thinking of is cooking the rock...only needs to be done if you have unwanted pests and things you want to "die off" listen to don he knows this sort of thing ;)

    how big of a tank do you have and what kind of skimmer do you got? i have a 75 and i can pull out a cup of stuff in a day if i skim really wet, so you should def. be getting more than you are now. i would screw with the settings you have because you should always see a little foam around the top...

    yep the bacteria will feed on the rotting shrimp...and i would wait for 4 weeks before transferring but it could be done cycling sooner than that for sure, have to check...all tanks are a little different

    heres something i was wondering... my skimmate can either fill the cup halfway in about a week of some dark nasty green or i can make it skim almost a cup a day of some really watery light green skimmate, which should i stick with?

    you could try some sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) which raises pH up...maybe try and drip it but i hear that it is better to let it happen on its own rather than two huge swings. that isn't too big of a swing though i think itll be fine
