What has happened to my tank??

As people has mentioned massive water change and carbon. I have heard even when a sea slug gets scared and release ink it can do mass damage to the water quality. Very cool looking, but not so good for the tank if something were to happen.

    Please Id scary looking crab

This is the first time I have ever seen it. It did not even pay attention to the snail also there was an emerald next to it and did not bother it either. I have no clue what it has been eating since I have never seen it before. Must have came on some live rock I bought forever ago.

    Please Id scary looking crab

Cool I will have to check out that site. I have two emeralds and it does not look anything close to them. I know the pictures are not the greatest, but wanted to get something before it went in hiding. If anyone else wants to chime in would be very appreciative.

    Please Id scary looking crab

I was feeding my tank a couple of minutes ago and this black hairy beast comes out from under a rock I have never seen this before. Is it bad to leave in main tank? I think I might have found its home so if it is bad maybe I will have a chance to catch it. [/IMG] [/IMG]

I have had this rock for ever and had no problems at all. Today it has not opened up at all not even one polyp. Everything else in the tank seems to be fine. Any ideas what could be wrong or what to test for?

    rose bubble tip anemone help

I make my own food which consist of blended up: Fish, clams, shrimp, squid, mussels, and I also throw some formula one in there. Sometimes a little garlic juice and carrot juice. I feed the tank and the RBTAs this. I thing I found out that works well with clowns and anemones when feeding try to...

    rose bubble tip anemone help

I would just watch it. Sometimes they look like they are dying, but really they are just flushing themselves out. As for flow and light they tend to move where they are most happy with both. I had one good size one and thought it was dying, but in about an hour or less I had three of them. Some...

    ID Please

That is great. Yeah I will always have clown fish because of the same reason, my son loves them. RBTA is a good choice and easy to keep. You can still do all sps with the anemone in there. But there is that chance it will take walks and kill :) Ive only lost one sps from having a RBTA.

    ID Please

You can have clowns with out having a hosting anemone and they do just fine. You will be surprised what clowns will host in. I think they are one of the coolest fish to watch swim around, well that are easy to keep. Get your wifey a clown to make her happy :) hahaha and welcome to reef frontier.

    Need advice on anemone

BTA's seem to be the easiest to keep out of all the others. But with a tank full of corals, you run the risk that the anemone will find its home on of your corals already attached. You can't really plan on where you want to put them they will move and find their own happy spot. Which could be...

    Hosting....or Clown Confussion!?

Not sure if you have tried this, but worked for me in the past. I would feed a little food over the anemone and the clowns would go over to where the anemone was to eat ( a bonus for the anemone also). They got used to it and ended up hosting in it. I think the male went in first, but the female...

Yeah the tank design is a pretty cool idea. Are they usually smaller in gallon size or do they make bigger ones like this?
